Director of Community Programs
Dana Silverblatt joined the Behavioral Health Network in June 2019 as the Director of Youth Initiatives. In this newly created role, Dana oversees the implementation of Missouri Transition-Aged Youth Local Engagement and Recovery (MO TAY-LER) and Youth Emergency Room Enhancement (Youth ERE) programs. Most recently, Dana served as Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and School Based Health Care at COMTREA, a community mental health center and federally qualified health center in Jefferson County. There, she focused on integrating the behavioral health, primary care, and oral health disciplines within COMTREA through streamlining policies and protocols, building rapport amongst staff, and strengthening avenues towards team-based care. From 2008-2015, Dana held multiple leadership roles including Director of Strategic Initiatives and Director of School Based Health Centers at Heartland Health Centers, a Federally Qualified Health Center in Chicago. Additionally, Dana worked for a community mental health center and provided home-based clinical care and support to youth and young adults experiencing mental health crises. Through intensive wraparound services, Dana connected these individuals to needed services and gained knowledge of community-level trauma. Through her collective work experience, Dana brings an extensive background in project management and program implementation within a safety net in urban, suburban, and rural settings. Dana earned a Masters of Arts in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago and a Bachelors in psychology from the University of Michigan. By invitation, she became a member of Gamma Phi Beta, a national honors and service society. Dana has deep roots in the St. Louis community and moved back after 16 years away from home. Dana is married to a wonderfully patient husband, and together they have a daughter and twin boys who keep them on their toes. In her free time, Dana enjoys exploring different neighborhoods in search of great food and live music.
