Tamela Wright
Director of Community Initiatives
As the Director of Community Initiatives, Tamela Wright is dedicated to promoting health equity through strategic initiatives, transformative leadership, and the cultivation of impactful community partnerships. With experience in program development and systematic approaches, she works to effectively address the unique health challenges of the region. She has actively contributed to several boards and advisory groups, ensuring marginalized communities are recognized and supported. A native of Missouri’s “Bootheel,” Tamela holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Psychology. She is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work at the University of Kentucky, expecting to graduate in Winter 2025. Her academic journey reflects her dedication to tackling systemic inequities and designing innovative solutions that create inclusive environments for underserved populations. Beyond her professional endeavors, Tamela cherishes time with her husband and daughter.
